Columbus ACE Fellowship

Columbus is proud to be home to a regional ACE Fellowship group!

About ACE and ACE Fellowship

Notre Dame's Alliance for Catholic Education (ACE) is a two-year service program offering college graduates the opportunity to serve as full-time teachers in under-resourced Catholic schools across the southern United States.

The ACE Fellowship began in 2004 as a direct response to a challenge from the late John Cardinal O’Connor to build on the momentum of the ACE program in order to form a lay apostolic movement in support of Catholic schools. While the Fellowship inititally included graduates of ACE and similar programs, it has now expanded to all men and women interested in sustaining and strengthening Catholic education.

The Fellowship empowers its members to deepen and integrate their personal, professional, and spiritual lives through continued formation and a lived commitment to Catholic education. This movement ambitiously cultivates dynamic leaders, innovative strategies, and enthusiastic witness, to provide re-energizing and lasting service to Catholic schools.

The Fellowship has a four-fold goal in support of Catholic education:

  1. To build relationships with people and organizations dedicated to this same mission.
  2. To provide an environment for continued spiritual formation in support of this educational vocation.
  3. To develop lasting service to Catholic schools through a variety of projects and programs.
  4. To provide support and training for those who will be the next generation of leaders in Catholic education.

The Columbus Fellowship

Members of the Fellowship meet regularly for meals, fellowship, and prayer. During the 2009-2010 school year, they plan to support new teachers in the Diocese and to raise money for the S.P.I.C.E. (Special People in Catholic Education) program.
